They don't wash their vegetables before making salads. You can tell right away that they have a disgusting earthy taste. The same goes for the fruit trays/salads. You can see leaves stuck to the fruit and bits of dirt. I stopped buying salads from Pinos. Disgusting.
Nice shopping environment. One of the best meat departments in town. Although the prices tend to be high storewide.
In terms of fresh meat and produce you will not find a better grocery store than Pino's ANYWHERE. Last winter I was in Florida and went to different grocery stores to stock up on food since we were staying in a Condo. I was so disappointed in the selection and quality of the meat and seafood - especially the seafood being so close to the ocean. Let's just say that if you have any complaints about Pino's, go shop somewhere else first. It is true that some other products in the store are a bit pricey but it's hands down your go to destination for meat and seafood. Also they serve up great fresh ready to go pizza's at a great price!
Really cool store! Employees said hello to me and asked me about my cycling trip (i was in full gear). Cashier was super nice and talkative; even other customers were chatty and engaging! Amazing sausage deal and donuts. Only problem is their limited selection of crunchy peanut butter. The Soos don't like crunchy peanut butter? It's the best! Smooth is nothing!
Great everything, tends to be a little more expensive than other bigger chain grocery stores, but does have good weekly specials. Excellent meats, prepared foods, deli and baked goods. I like to support locally owned business when possible. Also features locally some locally grown produce and fish. Worth checking out this store regularly
