Apparently their black Friday sale, where they had people line up for the first 25 people to get a gift card, they could only afford to give away $5 cards. When I went to make my purchase, I had to stand there while they fumbled in getting the registers started.
They have a lot more items then the small local stores, but the staff know nothing about fish and give a lot of false information. Sell people incompatible fish. People new to fish keeping trust this false information. Fish suffer and die.
I got a bigger coupon on my receipt than their gift card giveaway.
I Always trust Petsmart for everything I need. The staff sets a certain bar for friendliness that I don't see at other pet stores
