Sad experience. Went for a birthday dinner after hearing that food had improved. It's a lovely older restaurant. Only 4 diners in the room. That includes my partner and me. The food? Salad from a bag with bottled dressing. Very, very small piece of prime rib. Hard baked potato with one tablespoon of sour cream. Microwaved grocery store rolls.
Best breakfast in the Soo. Favorite breakfast item is the Ultimate Omelet.
Based on my experience, I can't find a reason NOT to eat here. It is cozy inside. Nice nautical theme. Directly across from the park where the Soo Locks visitor center and viewing platform is.
We have not been in the Sault for years and the service and Meal very terrific
Service was OK. Not great; not terrible. But I've noticed that we aren't as needy as some people who write reviews ;)
Our experience was good. We walked in at 10:45 for an early lunch, but it turns out they were still on breakfast menu. That worked out OK as it turns out. My wife and I each ordered an omelet. Hers had sausage gravy on top. It was the best tasting sausage gravy I've tasted north of Tennessee! (The sausage in the omelet itself was lacking--cut up link sausage, not ground. Oh well)
My omelet was the German Omelet. It had bacon, potatoes and sour cream inside. The sour cream made it awesome!
Will not return and will share experience with others as we don't want them to waste their money as we did.
The service was terrible, and my food was under cooked. Needless to say, I have not gone back.
