However, reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that as a table of 8, we ordered two more sushi rolls and some ice cream a little before 10PM and they didn't bring it out. We hadn't ordered crazy portions or was loud but guess they figured we really didn't want those last items.
- Negimayaki / Enoki beef rolls : great appetizer and a party snack.
About 1015PM they came around and gsthered the tablets with closing time at 1030. Fair enough.
A very unique way of doing a buffet. Order off tablet which is nice. But they order off table so our party of 8 got confusing when the orders came out and trying to figure out who ordered what. Food was good quality and good flavor.

Very good sushi. Portions of sashimi are very small, but you can keep ordering more. It is an all you can eat or puke place. The server kept taking my food to the wrong table and the people there happily ate it! Very cool to order on tablet, but this made the service seem kind of robotic. Service is very fast and mostly efficient except when food goes to wrong table. I was there for a long time and the servers eventually became more human and friendly. It is a very cool place with very good food. I want to go again.
The best sushi restaurant in town! Fast service and never a wait. They have amazing chefs here that make perfect rolls and sushi every time. Amazing atmosphere that suits ant occasion. Plus they accommodate for any group size! My favourite is the squid tempura, so tasty and crispy! Alot better then JC!
The servers may seem cold or robotic, but they are generally nice. Of course, they may deliver the wrong order or wrong portion but the food is good anyways and you can order as much as you'd like from the iPad menu.
- Dynamite Roll / Handrolls : they add a good portion of meat to rice.
My 10yrs old daughter loves Shogun. Decent prices on weekedays and at lunch. Weekend prices are a bit much. Good food. Hot food. We will return time and time again. Weekdays. Lol
Give or take some sushi fans may be disappointed with the lesser selection in the all you can eat menu but for the price that you pay it is definitely a good spend.
A general rule of thumb is that while the lunch option is well worth the money, the real goodies (sashimi, more fish options, etc) are only available at the slightly more priced dinner. Still, some classic nigiri and a wide variety of dishes are all in the menu.
One of the more affordable and delicious sushi spots, great for both the All-you-can-eat dining experience or even the a la carte options. Many people, especially college students nearby can be seen at any given time the restaurant is open; it is a pretty known spot in the Sault.
