Clean/updated establishment with a very friendly staff! We had a concern in the middle of the night and before I could even hang the phone up from the front desk, the manager was at the door. She was quick, efficient, extremely polite, and went out if her way to rectify the situation. In the grand scheme of things is wasn't even that big of an issue. But she wanted my family and i to know that we were valued and for that i am truly grateful. She was also very knowledgeable of the area and gave us some great travel tips.
Very pleased with the motel in general. The staff... very nice! Quick attention to a small issue in the room. Nice pool. Good breakfast... several choices! Very clean. Was expecting a better view of the bridge based on a conversation with a desk clerk when we agreed to pay a higher for a "room with a view". The lights were still pretty, just not what we expected. Would stay here again as everything else was great!
I am not one to write reviews; however, I wanted to compliment the wonderful staff at the Holiday Inn Express in Sault Ste. Marie. We were there with a group and I cannot say enough about the great service provided. Thank you so much for taking care of our group from getting us transportation to the casino (shout out to Roger), keeping towels supplied at the pool, and keeping the breakfast bar stocked in the morning!
Wonderful stay
Rooms are welcoming and clean. The beds are in good condition and more comfortable than I would expect. I have a hard time sleeping on most mattresses as I have scoliosis, but I didn't have a hard time sleeping here. Continental breakfast does it's job. The indoor pool is nice and makes for a lot of fun for kids between activities.
This hotel is not on the main business spur, but it is very nice, with good views. It is right close if you want to go to Canada, it is also walking distance from Lake Superior Stare University. There is a gas station nearby, that has drinks and many food items as well. Also, they have a delicious free breakfast.
